Fancy Dress For Christmas Eve Throwback...

I can't believe that I couldn't find the time to post this blog before the big day! But fear not I thought I would do a little throwback and share my fancy dress and make-up inspired look for Christmas eve as hopefully it will keep us jolly and in that festive spirit still!!

Have you thought of what I dressed up as yet?... I would love to know what your thoughts are...!!

Okay so I will let you into the secret I became an elf for the day at work!! I thoroughly enjoyed dressing up and enjoying the festive spirit, laughs and smiles that surrounded the shop!!

A massive thank you goes to my mum for letting me borrow her elf outfit as I would have found it quite stressful if I couldn't find an outfit which I liked for work... Plus, I love the fact that, my mum wasn't that much older than me when she wore this beautiful dress.. It feels like it has almost become a sort of tradition for us to wear the beautiful green dress!!

I paired the outfit with a pair of Christmas antlers and found myself jingling all day... I wore a pair of black loafers too!! Plus a cute little flashing snowman badge which I found a lot of people commented on as it was pretty festive!!

Of course, I had to take an elf inspired selfie plus I thought it would be a good way to show my inspired make-up for the day! Though, not much has changed other than the bright red lipstick!!

Here's a little looksie into what make-up I used to create a cute little elf inspired look!!

I spent a little longer on my mascara that morning as I wanted a longer lash effect as I don't tend to wear eye liner so I wanted my eyes and my eyelashes to stand out and look a little bolder than usual...

I used the same foundation brush and the same foundation to create my look however I applied an extra coat of foundation to make my look a little bolder than usual.

Followed by using my contour kit by Maybeline which I simply can't put down as I love it!! Anyway, I added an extra little darker tone to my contour kit by using at least one extra sweep across my cheeks!!

Now adding that extra special little touch towards my make-up was of course following through the bright red lip look as it's a well known colour and look for the Christmas period!! Plus, how could I be an elf without my red lips? I used a Red Revolution lipstick as you can see it's pretty bright, then I added the red lip gloss on top to add an extra coverage!!

I must admit, I loved the bright red lip inspired look... I didn't think it would ever suit me as my skin is pretty pale but I love the way you can tone the red lipstick look down...

Not forgetting, to tell you about this amazing new make-up addition I have as it's so handy and I couldn't resist buying it before Christmas!! It's a make-up fixing spray and trust me it's not too pricey and it's worth buying as it definitely works!!

Sorry the blog post is pretty late, I still hope you enjoy reading it though!! Please share any comments or let me know what you dressed up as I would love to know!!

Winter Favourites Of Mine...

I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas, I've got to say that mine was really special this year. I love the fact that we all get together and spend the day with our loved ones but it's pretty crazy that we all spend 364 days waiting and looking forward to one day and one day only which flies by so quickly!! Now of course, it's time to start preparing for the New Year!! Are you looking forward to the New Year?

As December is nearly coming to an end, I thought I would post a few little winter favourites of mine as I previously mentioned beforehand in my December Monthly Favourite blog that I had so many favourites, I really found it  hard to pick so I thought I'd put a little blog together for you so you can see what some of my other winter picks are!!

Pretty Candle Holders - I can't resist a beautiful sparkly candle holder can you? I just adore these candle holders I think there stunningly beautiful!! I always find something pretty and simple like a candle holder can make huge amount of difference as it completely adds a little change to your rooms and decorates the room nicely. I love the little snowflake look, as it immediately shouts out the Christmas season! Sadly, I am unaware of where the candle holders came from as they were a gift but a very beautiful gift that's for certain!!

Cuddly Toys - I disbelieve that anyone is too old for a cuddly toy as I just love a cute little cuddly toy! No one can turn down a sweet little cuddly toy, right? This is a little recent addition to my winter favourites as Scott surprised me and bought me this cute little penguin, isn't he so adorable? I swear I fell in love.... Sorry Scott haha!! :)!!

Tartan Print Scarves - there is so much hype towards the tartan print nowadays, I am pretty certain that tartan has been one of the most frequent print on the catwalk this season. I love how the tartan print came back to fashion, I remember when my mum was my age she used to wear a lot of tartan print looking back at photos of her and now it's come back to fashion and I am now styling the tartan print too! That said, scarves are a must have winter essential and I am certainly obsessed with this tartan print scarf from Peacocks it's become an essential to my outfits as I can't seem to leave the house without it!!

Penguin Print Pyjamas - As you can see I am a lover of penguins, I think their so adorable and it's most definitely such an instant winter reminder of mine! Don't you seem to have something that's so distinctive and seems to remind you of Christmas straight away? I certainly have and penguins seems to be a definite reminder for me. I love these pyjamas, as soon as I come home I seem to be jumping straight into these! They make me feel so cosy and wintery, I just can't seem to get enough of them!!

Minnie Mouse Dressing Gown - During winter, red is most definitely the colour of the season and mixing it with black and white always adds an extra special little touch! Ever since, Christmas day this has become one of my winter favourites as it's super cute for Christmas time, (thank you again to my boyfriend for knowing my style!)! Plus, who could resist a cute little dressing gown? I know I couldn't!! Of course, this cute little dressing gown is from Primark!!

I hope your all still enjoying the holidays (that's if you have holiday time to enjoy!!) But with working in retail, I know most of you will all still enjoy your job as you get to see the holiday spirit on people's faces!! Plus don't forget we have the countdown to the New Year which I have to say I am really looking forward too, are you?

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and I wish you all the best for the New Year!! But don't let the festive spirit go just yet!! :) !!

Much Love, Anya xx

A Primark Shopping Spree...

Well I certainly couldn't go to the mainland without making a quick visit too Primark could I? (I say little, it was more like a few hours!! But time goes by so quickly in there I swear!!)

My little Primark buys, I couldn't resist sharing what I bought with you all as there's some really nice things in store at the moment! I always find with Primark there's either some really nice things that you can't resist buying or there isn't as much things in store to buy but never the less you always find yourself buying something right?

As you all know Primark isn't always known for having great perfumes but these two are most certainly the best sellers by far! It's quite funny, as whenever I go over to the mainland my first thought is I had better pop into Primark to see if they have that perfume as it's just such a beautiful scent!!

I finally managed to convince myself to buy this white over the shoulder top, it's been in the sale for a while but over in Southampton they unfortunately didn't have my size the second time I went over. So thankfully, when I went to Portsmouth I knew I couldn't resist buying the top for £3.00! (An absolute bargain!!)

What I love about this top is the fact that I usually tend to focus on what I wear on the bottom half more than my top half as I always think pairing simple tops with a stylish pair of trousers or skirts look incredible! Plus, I have a big obsession at the moment with over the shoulder tops!

The world is obsessing with oversized slogan tee's at the moment! When I saw this baggy slogan tee I couldn't resist it as you know I love wearing the colours black and white plus it's something simple you can wear with some joggers on a lazy day! You can't go wrong can you? Not forgetting, the fact that you could dress the top up with a pair of nice jeans and platforms!!

I clearly seem to have an obsession with turtle neck jumpers at the moment, it's definitely one of my winter essentials that's for sure so when I came across a burgundy turtle neck jumper I couldn't resist!

You all know how much I love my midi skirts and of course black and white are my favourite colours to wear and I just couldn't resist owning another black and white midi skirt.
How could I forget to mention, the fact I couldn't resist a good old Mickey and Minnie Mouse Christmas tee! I have been feeling pretty festive wearing this, I must admit!

There's definitely a lace up feeling this year, isn't there? Lace up tops have been appearing everyone, in our shops and on our catwalks and of course now in my wardrobe!!

I must admit, for the last few months I have become rather obsessed with the look. I knew I had to invest in a lace up top, but I couldn't quite find one that really caught my eye until I found one in Topshop last week...

I couldn't choose between the colours as they all look amazing so I ended up leaving the shop with all three!! But I am over the moon, I love them!!

Many celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner are examples of who also found the lace up top's trendy too!

What I love about the lace up top look is there are so many different styles and you can mix the looks up!! Lace up tops, are definitely a key trend though that's for sure!!

I'm honestly obsessed with them, as they match my bedroom and look so beautiful!!

As you can see there's two more little candles which I have posted on my blog already but I couldn't resist sharing them in this one either as there definitely one of my favourites. I love the winter berry scent that they have and the Christmas vibe!!

A Wintery Favourite Outfit Inspiration... ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ˜˜

Wintery Favourites ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ˜˜

Wow... What can I say? I am obsessing over some of the Autumn and Winter looks that have been appearing on our catwalks at the moment.

Firstly, a massive statement must be made towards the berry colour as that's a massive trend at the moment!! Not forgetting, our massive love for the colour black!! Of course, the colours had to make an appearance on one of my Winter Favourite Outfit Inspirations as there just simply beautiful!!

Shirt dresses are massive at the moment alongside over the knee boots too so I knew straight away they would be a massive hit together and it looks stunning right?

Don't shy away from mixing colours, you don't have to keep it simple you can of course mix it up and perhaps add another colour.

For instance, I have added a grey faux fur scarf from Topshop as it's just so beautiful! (It's definitely on my wishlist that's for certain!!) The grey faux fur scarf makes a bold statement as it stands out and makes your outfit look amazing!!

In terms, of what accessories would I pair with the outfits I have kept it quite simple as you guys know by now I'm quite simplistic when it comes to accessories.

Top tip, I would always keep it sassy with a plain black bag as it blends nicely with your black over the knee boots.

While, adding a nice black bracelet as it makes your outfit look dressy and super cute!! But of course remembering, to pain your nails black as I think it makes your outfit look a little diva-ish!!

Let me know what you think about one of my winter favourites as I love to know your opinions :)!!

Much Love, Anya xx
