My Top Fashion Picks For The Moment...

Hey you guys!! :) How are you all doing?? How many of you lovely ladies out there managed to build up the confidence and propose to your handsome gents today? Sadly, for Scott he was definitely not one of those gents today ha-ha!! I'm sure he is rather happy about that one! Happy Leap Year though my lovelies!

A little side note for you all though, I've been embracing natural looks more than ever recently and toning down on using so much foundation. I've ditched the bright lipsticks and applied less foundation and blusher... I'm all for the natural looks at the moment, plus I love my lay ins so I always find I am in a rush in the mornings ;)! Who else loves their lay ins?!

With it being the last day in February today... (I can't believe I'm actually saying that already!! Where does the time go? Two months down already, wow!) Don't forget to 'pinch and a punch tomorrow as it's the first of the month'!) My poor grandad, always puts up with me doing that to him every single month of the year!! It's kind of a tradition from since I was a tiny tot!

After that, little side note I'll get back on track... I thought I'd pick out a few of my fashion favourites at the moment... I'm always obsessing over so many different fashion items, I seriously can't help myself so stick around with me as I'll show you a few of my top favourites!!

1) Faith Contrast Runner Shorts - £8.00 - Boohoo
Fitness February, that's for sure!! I've never really been an over sporty person. I would much rather, sit at home with a pizza watching films! Who wouldn't though? But recently, with Scott and I booking a holiday for the summer I have become quite motivated to do a lot more exercise... Let's see if I stick it out ha-ha! So I've become obsessed with the sporty sides of fashion!

I came across these beauties and simply fell in love with both of them! I love the colours, I couldn't pick between a colour so they've both featured on my blog. With the pink, I love how it's super delicate for summer. Whereas, the pink you could where during any season and still look stunning!

My First Impressions Of Stilla Aqua Glow Serum Foundation....

Happy Saturday my beautiful ladies and gentleman.... What are your plans for this evening? Are you fancying a night out with your friends or a nice chilled evening in? I'm taking the second option, a nice chilled evening in with the family who's joining me?
I couldn't resist sharing this quote as it's exactly what I'm doing now and after this blog I will go and get a drink of milk and then I'll be settled for the night!

It's been a while, since I last shared a first impression/review on a beauty product. So here we all are, reading my first impressions of the Stilla Aqua Glow Serum Foundation.

I was introduced to the Still Aqua Glow foundation by a friend of mine, Amber Anderson. Actually, Amber has recently featured her opinions on the foundation on her blog so take a little look at her opinions on the foundation and concealer... I'll link her blog at the bottom of the page :)

After, taking many of selfies I came to the conclusion that this was the one which had better lighting to show the end results after using the foundation. As you can see, it definitely shows a natural look. That's pretty much the overall result which I am really happy with!!

I mean, in all honesty I do have a few different opinions on the foundation as you can see I chose the light shade but unfortunately it is a little darker than I expected it to be.

Though, that hasn't put me off using the foundation as it is weightless and so effortless!! You can see from the colour of the foundation on the brush that the shade is a little darker but don't be put off by that.

Simply, apply a smaller quantity and make sure you blend your foundation more carefully. It will be perfect for the summer months as my skin tone becomes slightly darker... I emphasise slightly! Ha-ha!

If I were to buy another Stilla foundation I would be sure to go for the 'Fair Light' rather than the 'Light' just to be safe!!

The packaging, is absolutely amazing!! I don't know what it is that I love so much!! I just think it's beautiful, I love the choice of colouring its super cute! Plus I love golds, so that's a massive reason!! The sizing of the bottle is just so adorable!!!!

I love the way you have to turn and twist the silver lid (I say lid, I can't really describe what it actually is.... hmm thinking face is definitely on!!) Anyway, after that side not as you twist and turn the little silver lid up comes a little circle which is pretty much just like a button. As you push the button out comes your foundation... Just be careful, as you won't need much!!

I hope you guys liked reading my first impressions on the Stilla Aqua Glow Foundation... Head over to Cult Beauty which is where I ordered my foundation from...

Don't forget to take a little look at Amber's blog...

Lots of love always, Anya xx

Hey my lovelies, how are you all doing? Are you all tuning in to watch the Brits? I certainly am, there has been so many amazing performances already hasn't there? What has been your favourite so far?

Anyway, as you can see I have styled a sneaky inspired Kendall and Kylie Jenner outfit as I have to admit I am definitely in love with their new game.... Who else has downloaded the game?

I've got to also admit that I have the Kim Kardashian game too, yes I'm that addicted as I just love the Kardashian's and the Jenner's! What's your opinion on the games? Do you have a favourite? Unfortunately, I can't pick my favourite!

Since, downloading the game I have literally become so obsessed with their styles.! I've always been a follower of their styles but now I'm literally piecing more and more inspired outfits together all the tine!! So I definitely couldn't resist sharing this look as it's one of my top favourites.

If you're thinking of going for a Kendall and Kylie kind of look then I would definitely keep it simple and rock the all in black look with hints of black and red. There is absolutely no way you won't rock the look just like Kylie and Kendall!!

Grab yourself a black pair of ripped jeans, find a black crop and most importantly pop on your white and black faux fur coat... Not forgetting, your black lace up heels with a white handbag to match! You'll be rocking the Jenner look for sure!!

To add an extra little touch, why don't you include your blogger's inspired look with pairing a black hat to your outfit... Trust me the look is super sassy!

If you wanted to brighten up your look a little then don't forget your red lipstick!!

Go try out your Kendall and Kylie inspired look out and let me know what you think guys!!

My Top Tips On How To Make A Long Distance Relationship Work...

Hey you guys, I'm back and I've got so many blogs that I want to share with you all. So make sure you all keep your eyes peeled on the blog, as there's sure a lot for me to write for you all.

It's been a few days, well to be precise it's been just over a week since I last wrote a blog for you all... I bet you have all been wondering where I've been, right?

You know I love making you wait, as I love the fact that you all play the guessing game, wondering what I've been up to.

You've probably seen from my social media's that Scott has been back down to the Island for a few days. If you haven't guessed why, I'm going to continue making you wait as that's definitely something I have to share with you in another blog soon.

Recently, I've been asked the same question a lot, regarding how I make a long distance relationship work. So I thought, what better way than to share how I make mine and Scott's relationship work, than on a blog. That way, you can all see my top tips can't you?

To start off with I had to share a few quotes of mine that are definitely my favourites. It's always important to me to share quotes as they stay in my mind, and words pretty much nail everything I have to say.

The quote is dead, right ? Why should we let distance determine our feelings? We shouldn't! No matter how far away a friend, family member or your partner is it shouldn't change how we feel about that person!

Many people straight away believed that a long distance relationship is never going to work! I remember my parents were very worried for me in the beginning as they knew I'd struggle with the distance from Scott, as he means the world to me. They were right to worry, it's their job and secondly of course it's a massive struggle. There's not a day that goes by where I don't miss or need him, the only good thing is that he's only a phone call away. I mean, people seem to be so against long distance relationships, and that's okay as it's your opinion, but it's my job to let you know that it's not as hard as you think.

That's not me saying it will be easy, as it's definitely not! Nobody said that life is going to be easy though, did they?

 1) The way Scott and I look at things is that, life is a challenge and during life we're all faced with challenges to overcome! Scott, isn't a challenge, (I knew he'd be reading this and thinking exactly that!) there's no way he's a challenge ha-ha! I'd say it's more of me being the challenge as I like to have things organised and us girls tend to be a little bossy compared to boys! Ha-ha! But no seriously, I would say the challenge is staying with that one person who you love more than anything, through the rocky roads of your long distance relationship! If you two can overcome that challenge it certainly shows off how much love you have for one another, doesn't it?

2) Emotions and feelings really play a key role in this without a doubt. You both could start to feel lonely and sad, this tends to create doubt and worry. Of course, the extra distance does make many things unachievable. There's no doubt that things get complicated due to emotions!

However, I would say that the disadvantages of your feelings certainly balance out as the little things such as holding each other's hands are definitely appreciated more, and from our personal experience, we definitely make the most of the time we have together. The simplest things are the sweetest, it's even down to having a meal out together or cooking a meal together, being able to hold each other, feeling each other's touch, going on a walk together and smelling each other's aftershave or perfume. All these small little things add up and suddenly mean so much more to one another.

3) I would definitely try to avoid excessive communication, you two don't really have to spend twelve hours on the phone in order to keep the relationship going. It's always, something Scott and I have been fairly good at from day one as we don't spend every minute of every day talking to each other. It's unhealthy and possessive. I always find it more enjoyable knowing I have a set time to call Scott for example after I've finished work or after he has finished university for the day. It's thought, that many couples believe that they need to compensate for the distance by talking to each other on the phone more, but this is by far from the truth, it may make things worse as you will run out of things to say.

It sounds terrible, but there is a saying that 'less is more'... It's difficult because all I want to do is pick the phone up and give Scott a phone call, but I have other things to do such as going to work and blogging, not forgetting to make time for my family and friends. I'm not saying don't make time for your partner because it's vital that you do, just try to avoid from exhausting yourselves.

It's always good to tease one another, for example make them wait for a phone call. Get your jobs done and then spend the rest of the night talking to your partner. All human beings, love the unexpected... Remember that!!

4) Plans for the future are definitely a way of keeping your relationship on track as it shows your partner that you still have an interest, as well as making your relationship feel fresh and new. There's always a new opportunity during a relationship; it's just up to you if you want to grab it with both hands.!

"If you want to live together, you first need to learn how to live apart." Pretty much, one of my favourite quotes ever. It's honestly so true, personally I could pick my life up now and move in with Scott, as it's the easier option; going back to what I said before, life is a challenge and if you can manage being a part from you partner it will be as easy as one... two... three... to live with them!

It was time to take a little break as there's so  much writing for you all to read. I don't want you to think it's an essay, so I've included another favourite quote of mine as it fits in like a missing puzzle piece.

5) Moving on swiftly. My next top tip is to set some ground rules for you both. I would advise you to have done this before your partner moved away, but it's still manageable to do so when your partner has already left. Both of you need to be clear with each other and with what you both expect from each other during the distance. Set ground rules, so neither of you will be upset or angry, with what the other person has done.

A key example of this would be if another partner went out on dates during your long distance relationship. I know if Scott ever did that I'd be running up to Hull to sort him out most likely followed by his parents and mine too. Of course, vice versa if I had done the same! In other words, are you two exclusive? Is it alright for the other person to go on dates? Discuss the commitment  level?

From my point of view, I would never say it's okay for Scott to go on other dates. I would hit the roof, I know for a fact Scott would do the same too! It's never acceptable for you to see another person if your in a relationship in my eyes, but sometimes other people have different views.

It's one hundred percent better to be open with each other about all of these things, as if you don't, you may find yourselves in situations like these.

6) Don't be afraid to pick the phone up. Just because you don't want to be possessive doesn't mean you shouldn't care at all. I would always suggest greeting each other with a 'good morning' and 'good night' every single day!! Make sure you're updating your partner on your life and keeping them in the loop as sometimes they may feel very left out. With technology these days, you can send each other selfies or video call your partner. Through putting in this kind of effort you make the other person feel loved, and wanted, and trust me that's a great feeling!

7) Avoid arguments, of course this is a very tricky concern but it's manageable trust me. For instance, if you have plans to go out clubbing or to stay at a friends for a girly night or a lads night on the xbox, make sure you inform your partner. I would say it's more important when it comes to a night out drinking, as the jealousy factor sure comes into the game. I would say it's best to tell your partner so their aware of your plans. Tell them in order to reassure them, don't be careless about this matter because your partner will only be extra worried or suspicious. Again, this isn't because you aren't trusted by your partner, it's just because as humans, we worry. Plus the fact, you are putting him/her in a position where they feel extra powerless. Just be truthful and let them in on your plans!

8) Making time to see each other is so important. As you're all aware, I have taken trips up to see Scott and he has come down to see me too. It does get harder each time when we leave each other, as our hearts grow fonder by the day. Though, I love the fact we enjoy every moment we have together. Perhaps, share interests with one another, recommend a film to watch or share feelings. Don't be afraid to include your partner, in fact they will love you more for doing so!

I found this image on my instagram and I think it's simply beautiful!

9) Do you both have a goal in mind? What would you both like to achieve at the end of the day? Do you know how long you will be apart? What's your future plans? There are so many questions that you both have to try to aim to answer. I know the answers for mine and Scott's do you know yours? The truth is, no couple can be in a long distance relationship for forever as eventually we all need to settle down.

Buy a calender, make a timeline... Estimate the times apart and times you spend together, then draw an end goal, and make it last! Make sure you both are on the same page, don't turn over the page without both of you being there!!

(He-he, I'm not being soppy but I thought this was super sweet!!)

10) Enjoy your alone time and your time with your family and friends. Looking back to when, Scott and I discussed distance, it was kind of hard but yet to some degree it was acceptable, as we all like time with ourselves don't we? Remember, your not alone. Take this time in your life to spend time with your friends and family, and even find a new hobby. There are plenty of things for you to do that doesn't involve your partner as, well as the fact that keeping busy will keep your mind occupied and time will fly by without you realizing.

11) One of my most vital top tips is to stay honest with each other. Honesty and trust play a huge part of your relationships. Be honest with each other, open up and discuss your feelings. Talk about your insecurities, jealousy and whatever else. Don't try to deal with things all by yourself. Allow your partner to help you and provide you with the support that you would like.

12) Have you ever considered writing a letter? Take a throwback to the old days and be traditional! Grab a pen and paper and start handwriting some love letters. It's the thought that counts!

13) I'm not soppy, well maybe I am a tad but finding cute couple inspirational quotes always make me smile. I end up sending them straight onto Scott, and then things like the above become plans for when we next see each other!!

Wow, that's my top tips to make a long distance relationship work. I hope this has helped you all, keep smiling and being positive as it will work out!!

Lots of love, Anya xx

Last minute style for Valentine's Day ๐Ÿ˜

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!

Good evening, my lovelies! How are you all? I thought it would definitely be the perfect timing to share a few of my favourite photos that I have found on my Instagram, in order to celebrate and share the love with you all on this Valentine's Day.

The cakes look so beautiful, I must admit I wouldn't want to even eat them when they look like that ha-ha!

Have you all had an excitable valentine's day so far? I wonder what beautiful gifts you have all received from your loved ones. I can't wait to hear what goodies you have all got, if you would like to leave the comments below... :)

So I've put together a little Polyvore outfit for both of you, in case you're having last minute troubles of what to wear tonight... I hope this helps you both :)

The nude inspired colour has sure taken over the last few months and what better day to wear it than Valentine's Day, right? I always think a natural look is the most beautiful look of them all. Don't you agree? So I have paired a nude and black dress together with black heels, the look is incredible.

For the men's look. I have paired a navy blue shirt with black skinny jeans as they always look amazing on guys don't they? (Scott, I am aiming this at you don't worry he-he!) Phew, got away with that one didn't I ladies? A nice watch would be perfect to go with your outfit as it shows your lady that you have confidence...

Definitely, set the mood with candles as it will relax you and make you feel more confident..

Good luck ladies and gentleman, I wish you all the best!

Have an amazing Valentine's day!!

Much Love, Anya xx

Valentine's Day Gift Guides From The Heart | Collaboration With Amber Anderson...

Good evening love bird's... it's only two days from one of the most special days of the year for many couples! I assume you're all aware of what time of year it is right? Of course, it's Valentines Day!

But before, I continue writing this blog I just wanted to give a massive shout out to my mum! I know when she reads this she will be pretty embarrassed but I am sure she will love it too! It's her birthday tomorrow so a massive HAPPY BIRTHDAY for tomorrow mum!! I love you too pieces and I can't wait to see you after work!! <3

After that little side note, happy Friday everyone. I bet you all can't wait for the weekend but fear not as it's only ten minutes away....! I hope you have all had a wonderful Friday and I wish you all a lovely weekend!!

As an extra little touch to share the love with you all, I have added a Valentines Day touch to my name on my blog... I must admit, I thought it was super cute even though to some degree I think valentines day is proper cheesy but who cares... It's good to share the love!! Have a little look below and let me know what you think in the comments below :)!!

Moving on swiftly, you all know my views on Valentine's day, don't you? I'm not that over keen on celebrating or participating on the day, that's for sure. Of course, it's a beautiful idea to be able to share love with your special loved one, but surely you could do that every day of the year right? What's so special about one day which is over in the blink of an eye?

Though, it's a perfect opportunity to receive amazing presents from your loved one I guess. Also a little mention to my wonderful grandparents as it's the day they got engaged, which was forty three years ago on Sunday!! (I can imagine my grandad saying "Blimey" haha!)

You don't necessarily need to have a partner to be able to celebrate valentine's day, and I think it's important to remember this, as it's always important to make a family member, close friend or an important person in your life special.

I'm really excited to share this blog as it's not just me writing a similar blog, but my dear friend Amber Anderson has teamed up with me once again as this is our second collaboration which I couldn't wait to share with you all, but due to technical faults on my part tonight; my blog has been slightly behind but thank goodness my laptop managed to load in the end and here the blog is for you all.

It's been pretty secretive our little collaboration this time, considering the fact that we kept it pretty hidden, with no hints on any social media, clearly this was to surprise you all!!

Take a little trip over to Amber's blog and find out exactly what her gift guides were for Valentine's day! www.cupofthoughtsandabagoftea.com/
So are you struggling with what to buy your valentine? If so we have caught you at the right time as we thought we would both blog some last minute ideas for you all, as it's pretty stressful wondering what to buy your loved ones, isn't it? Or maybe you have completely forgotten and left it to the last minute. It's only natural, so don't worry. Sit back and relax as Amber and Anya are on the case!!

I bet you guys are sat at home panicking and researching a few last minute buys for your ladies, so to save you the troubles take a little look at some of my ideas...

Simple gifts are the ones that mean the most and you can't go wrong with a Boux Avenue body mist that's for sure!! Plus isn't the design simply breath taking! I must say, all body mists or perfumes are the perfect way to your ladies heart! Plus the fact, the bottle is pink with a pretty bow. How could you possibly go wrong??

As a matter of fact with this little buy, I bought this for Scott and I from Peacock's as I think it's simple and sweet and just what a guy and girl needs. Plus this means that both of you get  a little gift!

Pretty, pink candles are so perfect for Valentine's day trust me! I'm obsessing over this candle of mine and I know for a fact if Scott bought me a candle I would be over the moon so I definitely know other girls would for sure appreciate pretty candles!

Boys, pink of course make the boys wink right? Tell me how you could possibly go wrong with a Jimmy Choo perfume gift box, because believe me you won't!

My lovely ladies, if you're struggling with what to buy your man then stop and think! Keep it fairly simple, as they're very happy with a home cooked meal with you, plus a new bottle of aftershave! I know for a fact that Scott would be over the moon to be able to come home and spend Valentine's day with me, but due to university commitments he is stuck in Hull! So I can't wait to spend our little Valentines day together when he gets home!!

Keep it simple and buy your men the little things which they would really appreciate more than anything, and of course buy them something they will  benefit from. It may not sound romantic but they will certainly love it!

If all else fails then of course just keep it simple and book a spa day for your lovely lady or maybe even try to book a night or two away with each other, as how much better can it get than to experience a romantic night or two away for you both?

Not forgetting, to add the little extra touches with a simple letter or so as that's the best way to win your partners hearts!

Why stay traditional ladies and gents think out of the box this time!!

I hope you all have enjoyed my last minute gift guide for both genders!! Don't forget to head over to Amber's blog post and to be sure to let us both know what your gift ideas for your valentine are!!

Lots of love, Anya Marie xx
