Don't Let Anyone Ever Dull Your Glow...

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? I hope you've had a great day! I couldn't wait to come home from work and write another lifestyle blog for you all!! It seems, the lifestyle blogs are quite a hit at the moment! So of course, I will give you what you want!

As it's Wednesday, how could I not share one of the most famous quotes from one of my favourites films? Have you guessed what film it is?
Of course, it's Mean Girls!

Where can I actually start with this quote? People who know me, would know this is definitely something I would say...

I thought it was important to take the time to remind you all that you all have a glow. Why would you let people take that away?

There are times during our lives, where we realise that there are negatives or people who try to make us feel rubbish about ourselves.

Should we sit back and let that happen to us or even somebody else? No we shouldn't!

Is it acceptable to bully people or even manipulate people, if you really have to think about that question then maybe it's time for a change?

It's important to remember that we're who we are!

But what's most important is the fact that we all are important in our special way!

For example, I could sit here and run through a list of insecurities about myself and that would certainly put a dull on my life.

Instead of focusing on our insecurities we should all embrace our insecurities and love them as believe it or not they're a part of us.

Let them sparkle, don't let them fade!

As you know, one of my insecurities is pinning my hair up in public. Ever since, I started wearing my hair down at school I could never face grabbing a hair band and pinning it back up again! But recently, that's changed as I have found the confidence to leave the house with a messy bun and not worry!!

Why don't you try to face one of your insecurities this week? Trust me, your confidence will have increased so much!!

Let me know what your insecurities are below, I would love to know!!

My May Favourites...

Finally May has arrived!! I hope it brings lots of sunny weather for us all!!

May is is such a pretty month isn't it? It's certainly one of my favourite months as it's under a month before my birthday which has me super excited!!

I couldn't resist sharing this photo with you as it's just so pretty and pink!!

This months monthly blog is going to be slightly different again as again the weather has been so beautiful recently that it's been perfect for a day down the beach which is exactly what my parents and I did after I finished work yesterday.

I shared this panoramic photograph with you all in yesterday's blog but it's become one of my favourite photos ever! That i couldn't resist sharing it with you in my May favourites blog! I live on such a pretty Island!!

Before, moving onto my favourite monthly products for this month I thought I would share a few other favourite photos of mine from yesterday. As you can see my parents look like their having a lovely time!

My first favourite product of this month definitely has to be this nail varnish which is called Peachella from the Rita Ora collection. For a while, I found myself searching for a bright pinky peachy colour for the summer and that's when I discovered this one! Isn't it gorgeous?

I have been dying to find some spare time and read this little buy! The summer is all about grabbing a book heading outside in the sun and reading isn't it?

Ever since, this new-bee arrived on my door-step I have been dying to share it on my blog! I first saw this on one of Zoella's blog and thought how beautiful the designing of the bottle and packaging looks! Let alone, how adorable the goldy brown lid is... It's pretty much like magic, as there is a sponge that you simply pull off in order to apply the liquid bronzer on your body! I've literally fallen in love with the product which is from Benefit! I do believe, this may become one of my summer essentials!

To start off with, how stunning is the design and packaging of this product? It blew me away as soon as I saw it! It's just so inspiring and dreamy don't you agree? I love the mix of colours, they work so well together!

I'm literally lost for words... I have pretty much fallen for this bronzing and contouring brush from Benefit... Sorry to tell you this Scott ;)! Ha-ha! But no seriously it's so adorable, I'm not sure if I can use it as it's just so so beautiful!

Where can I start with this new buy? For months on end, I have been searching for that one bag which will catch my eye. Then I walked into work yesterday and found the one I have been looking for!! Tassels are a top trend at the moment and how could I resist it as it's black!! I swear black is my favourite colour ;)! Head online to Peacock's or pop in when you get the chance!

As you all know I am heading off to Majorca in July with Scott for a summer break! I can't wait!! I'm literally counting down the days! So obviously, I have been focusing on buying new clothes for our holiday so I headed straight onto Boohoo of course in the search for summery clothes.

Without fail, I managed to find this beautiful skirt!! It's perfect for the summer evenings or even during the day as you could pair it with a bright coloured crop top for example a red crop top would one hundred percent work well with this little number.

You all know, I'm an affiliate for Boohoo but I thought I would mention the fact that Boohoo now have an app that you can download from the app store so you can find it easier to shop!

Trust me, Scott used to love the fact that I had to load my laptop to shop on boohoo but if I was feeling lazy I wouldn't bother as I couldn't be bothered to walk downstairs. (Tut, lazy Anya I can hear my grandad saying!) Now there's no need for me to grab my laptop as I can go shopping on my phone!! Thank you Boohoo, it's so much easier!!

Let me know if you've used the Boohoo app and what you think of it! :)

Again, with my holiday getting nearer and nearer I needed to find a sweet little beach bag which I hopefully could use again after my holiday! I love the sweet little flower design on the front of the bag! It's such a sweet little detail! Plus, it was such a bargain from Primark as it was in the sale for only £5! Thanks Primark!!

Searching for new clothes for a holiday can sometimes stress you out. However, I would literally enjoy the saying 'shop till you drop' as that's definitely what I do! Another bargain, from Primark I think they were only £6! It has a beautiful Coachella kind of vibe with the aztec print don't you agree?

However, these shorts are a little bit of a throwback to last year as I bought them from Newlook a year ago!! They're still my favourite pair of shorts, I think the print is so pretty!! I couldn't resist sharing these with you as I have been wearing them more now that the sun has arrived!

There you go then my lovelies that brings my May monthly favourites to an end! I can't believe it's May already! Before, I know it will be June!

A shout out to Scott for your birthday on the 15th of May - I wish you a lovely birthday and we will celebrate when you come home!! As well not forgetting Aaron - happy birthday too!

I thought, I would tag this black and white double trouble selfie with you all as I bring it to an end....

Have an amazing May everyone!!

Much Love As Always, Anya Marie xx

You Can't Erase The Past, But You Can Write The Future...

Happy Sunday everyone, hasn't the weather been incredible today? I was definitely pleased to finish work early and head out to the beach!! Hopefully, the sun is here to stay!!

I had to share the photo with you all as I'm going to completely kill the good vibes and head into a downer kinda mood...

It's one of those live, learn and move on blogs... We all know them ones, right? (Good one Anya, you know how to kill the mood don't you?!!)

It's hard to kind of reflect onto the past sometimes for me as it's almost like I block everything out... I put up a brick wall and fill it with cement then move on I guess! But I always find meeting up with friends who have been with you from day one during every situation you can think of that kind of tends to help me remember... Then I guess I tend to remember the feelings and the state I was in.

As you can probably tell one of my favourite motto's is of course the title of this blog:

"You Can't Erase The Past, But You Can Write The Future!"

Even though, I tend to leave the past in the past it's good to kind of remember memories as everything happens for a reason right?

There comes a point in your life, when you realise decisions you made during that timing of your life may not have felt like they were the right ones. It takes time, it takes time for things to fit into place. There's no denying the fact it will take time as it could take: years, days, months, hours or weeks. Who knows? Only you will know when that time is right!

From looking back to a year ago there is so many things I would love to change about my past.. There are so many situations I would love to differently, but would I be where I am now? No!

It wasn't because there wasn't feelings or love there because there was! I guess sometimes we all face reality and wake up to face the facts that something we fought for wasn't actually right for either of us. Sometimes, it's time to smell the coffee in the morning's and realise you weren't fighting for yourself...

You weren't fighting for something you truly wanted, it almost felt like an illusion if I look back now you see everything from the other side of the mirror... I look into the mirror now and see someone who smiles without even realising they do and that's because I managed to focus on finding myself and my happiness!

It's not one sided, there are always two sides to a story and this is the point I make to everybody it's about taking the time for yourself but also to appreciate both sides of the story.

Was it worth all the tears, lies and upset? Yes it was due to the fact that we both managed to find ourselves, set ourselves free and be happy.!

There's a saying which has been used a lot when it comes to relationships -

When I take the time to remember who I was a year ago I would say I appeared weak but now I feel confident, happy and strong. I have the confidence to focus on what I want which of course is to write! I don't hold back anymore, I know what I want...

I had the confidence to make a blog and share everything I love with you all and I guess that's the focus point to make. Without, mentioning names (we both sorted ourselves out and focused on what's important!)

It's okay not to feel strong, it's also okay to feel weak but it's important to put yourself first! Don't be afraid of doing that!

I hope I haven't droned on too much, let's hope you have managed to keep awake ha-ha! I am praying I haven't bored you all!!

Leave any comments or thoughts you have below, as I would be more than happy to help you!

Much Love, Anya Marie! xx

STAY FOCUSED AND EXTRA SPARKLY...

As you all most probably know I'm always tending to buy and find new homely pieces. We all love a change from time to time right? I find it exciting buying new homely pieces to match my room!)

Though, I do also create interior design inspiration blogs which always excites me and helps me gather new ideas for new looks or even for my bedroom. (OH IT'S EXCITING!)

I absolutely adore the idea of wall-art if you have followed my blogs before you will know most of my homely blogs have wall-art or slogans stamped all over them! I've found myself obsessing over everything from - wall-art to fashion statements or slogans. (I literally love them!)

A few weeks ago, to my delight I was contacted by a company called Coconut Lane who contacted me regarding a feature on my blog. I was over the moon, when I took a look at the website as it's so pretty and pink how could I have possibly said no?

Anyway, after drawling and dribbling over the designing of the website I finally found it in me to check out the products... Could I have been blown away more than I already was? (YES!)

For a good few days, I couldn't decide which wall-art to choose. Then I found myself distracted by Coconut Lane's other pieces such as: cushions, phone-cases and jewellery.

In the end I had to ask Scott to help me come to a conclusion of which wall-art I would pick...

As you can see, I ended up picking the "Stay Focused And Extra Sparkly" slogan... It was either going to be this one or the "Messy Bun Get Things Done!" It was a hard decision but I thought my choice was more motivational and I happen to be obsessing over motivational quotes at the moment.

Unfortunately, I'm not overly keen on putting pictures/posters up on my wall. Sadly, I think I've grown up from my Barbie and High School Musical posters now! But I do think it would look even more beautiful than it already does in a picture frame as it would really stand out. I think that placing this quote would look effective surrounded by your work surface. While, your blogging or working it would help to motivate you.

If you fancy, heading over to have a look on Coconut Lane's website then here's a little treat for you all from me and of course Coconut Lane... 20% off! (Not bad at all, right?)

If you fancy using the 20% off then simply use the discount code: Anyamarieball20 at the checkout.

This is definitely my favourite phone-case from Coconut Lane... Check out all the other beautiful products on there!!

Have you found a specific motivational quote that has managed to push you forward in the right direction? If you have, let me know in the comment section below!

Lots of love, Anya Marie xx
