Superdrug Haul...

Welcome back everyone!

Initially, I just wanted to wish you all a warm welcome back and thank you for sticking around and waiting patiently for my new and upcoming blogs. So it's been a while since the last blog, have you missed them like I've missed you? Thought as much, ha-ha!!๐Ÿ˜‰

Before, I dive into "Lockdown Part 2" which is what everyone is now nicknaming the current lockdown. I thought it would be great to review a little shopping Haul at Superdrug like I used to do.

So join me in rewinding time and heading back to my Superdrug Haul's...

On another note, it was very interesting to see where people shop the most from a recent poll that I did on my Instagram and from the results it seemed to be Superdrug.

I won't lie, I am a massive "Superdrug" fan and always have been since I was a teenager really and I guess since I've had the blog too. Not that, I'm not a fan of Boots it just always seemed that my Mum and Nan would shop there more than I would. It also helped that Superdrug had the "Zoella" and "Tanya Burr" range as I was actually obsessed with their Beauty ranges!

I guess for those of you who have followed by blog from day 1, that might now explain why I did so many "Superdrug Haul's!"

Before, I waffle on and bore you for any longer than I already have let's dive straight into my Superdrug haul...

Well it's fair to say, the Charcoal Whitening Toothpaste and Powder have been a star buy of mine for many years. I won't lie, I must admit I become super forgetful when it comes to using the Charcoal Powder as on a workday I'm always rushing and forgetting later on in the week to use the powder at least twice a week.

So as it's "Lockdown Part 2",  I really don't have an excuse to forget do I? No. no  not at all! However, I thought that it would be a great Beauty routine check to actually measure the results of the whitening toothpaste powder.

Not forgetting to mention, the Charcoal Whitening Toothpaste... I have and will always remain obsessed and faithful ๐Ÿ˜‰ to this toothpaste! If you're anything like me, I am quite fussy on what toothpaste I use as I'm a bit funny with some of the tastes that toothpastes can have... maybe that's just me! I tend to mix it up between the following three toothpastes; Charcoal Whitening Toothpaste, Macleans Fresh mint or bog standard Aqua Fresh.

So with the above toothpaste, it isn't just the stunning colours and design of the packaging that makes me adore it! It's the fact it actually works and leaves your teeth gleaming white! I suggest giving it a trial, you and your teeth certainly won't regret it! As well, the taste is rather nice.

Bonus point too, is the fact the two items above are on offer currently in store and online! I think it comes to just under £6 for the both which is amazing!

With being on the subject of toothpaste and toothpaste powder I saw this beauty and of course had to add it into the shopping basket. I've been on the search for a new electric toothbrush that is of course pink.

So here we are! I couldn't resist this star buy, when I saw it as it is under £20.00! Bargain right?! What I love about this brush as well is that it has two settings; the clean setting and the sensitive setting which both lasts for two minutes per time you brush your teeth which is an additional bonus for purchasing this brush.

With "Lockdown Part 2" - it's essential to have your luxuries and to indulge yourself in the scents of different shower gels... I mean maybe that's just me but knowing I can mix the scents up, tends to relax and certainly refresh and relax my mind which is definitely what we need more so than ever right now.

Finding these beauties was certainly a bargain as they were only 69p! Most definitely an essential for your shopping baskets and they have several other choices!

I definitely tend to have a few favourite skin care brands and Simple is most definitely my go to! Not just down to the fact the design of the bottle is amazing! However, Simple facial wash tends to be the most nourishing and refreshing for my skin personally so to see this on offer was an instant big fat YES!

With being in another Lockdown, it's really important to ensure you're taking care of yourself, your skin and your body. So taking extra measures by ensuring you have your own health and skin care routine is very important for your own health and wellbeing. I will eventually get round to sharing my essential steps to a healthy skin care routine with you all but essentially the above four items play a huge role in that. Not just during the current times, it's very vital to always look after your skin during this time of the year as during the Autumn/Winter seasons your skin tends to be a lot drier and receives less sunlight and causes potential chapped lips, blemishes and break outs!

So personally I find, facial creams and moisturizer are essential items in your skin care routine in order to keep your skin healthy and glowy which is a definite positive for times like we are facing currently.

Be good to the skin you have been given! If you look out for it, it will look out for you.

Superdrug are also selling these stunning natural face cloths which I find really useful to help remove your make-up or to use through your facial skin care routines either or. Superdrug are selling them for a whopping bargain of; £1.50 or free when you purchase x3 items from the Beauty Section so get in there quick before you miss out!

It's been such good fun rewinding time and heading back to my original roots and writing a "Superdrug Haul". If anything it's made me want to begin reviewing Superdrug products monthly again for you all. I forgot how much I enjoyed sharing my Beauty products and monthly favourite items.

Let me know in the comments below on how you feel regarding my "Superdrug Monthly Hauls" and if you think they should become a regular blog once again.

For now it's been fantastic to be back and I can't wait to share my new upcoming blogs with you.

Take care and be safe everyone.

Lots of love to you all,

xxxx

A Little Road Trip Back Home To The Isle of Wight...

What with it officially being a whole year and a bit since I moved from my family home and the little Island of mine which I miss deeply, I thought it was about time that I headed home to visit; the Island, my family and friends...

So why not start it off with a little throw back which was taken almost two years ago, to be exact six months before I set sail from the Island and moved to the City of Winchester... Every day, it's still a shock to know that I actually moved. I often question whether I am actually living or not stuck in a dream! Weird, I know! I guess, it's due to the fact I never thought I would leave home let alone move across the water and on my own...!!

Heading home, always feels like a trek though what with having to sit on the boat for an hour!! Islander's, don't you agree?

As you can see, heading home always means there's time for; being treated by your Mum and family especially by my dog ha although it often seems Missy is the one being spoiled! Following that, there's treats and of course I always have to find time for the hot tub as well as long walks by the beach... The beach, definitely is missed by me... Growing up next to the beach, was most definitely a pro!!

Let's just appreciate good old Snapchat filters oh and let's not forget the lighting as that was pretty good too!

It's fair to say, this little Missy has become very much like her big cousin! Selfie mad it seems!!

Spending time with my loved ones, is always important and ensuring that you dedicate time to them too is super important!

Appreciating your roots, isn't a bad thing in fact it's a; true, respectful and affectionate way to live your life. Knowing where you started, the first baby steps that you took and all the memories you made will always remain with you. We never forget!!

The best feeling in the World for me, is coming home and seeing the inspiring faces who raised me as a child and knowing that I am; safe, loved and cared for!

No matter what, sometimes beginning your journey when you're the most frightened is the most empowering feeling as believe me the roads are tough and sometimes the lights too dark. But believe me, when you at least expect it your journey will begin and fall into place!

Just believe!

With Love,

Thunder...

Thunder...

You stumbled across me and we ended up never being a part!

Two peas in a pod.

Our dreams weren't far a part!

You knew I feared the Thunder, but you loved it. There you stood at my side even when it poured.

I called your name, more times that I needed too to check if you were there.

You knew he broke my heart and it was only you who could fix the lighting.

My breakdowns were an occurrence which appeared regularly. You never disappeared, you made sure you remained at my side.

You taught me to face my fears knowing we'd face them together.

Dreaming of succeeding came easy with you as you made me see I could and that you believed when many others didn't.

Feel the Thunder, Lightening then came the Thunder.

One after another.
You made me shine so bright.
You believed.

My attempts to leave my dreams behind were shot down by you as you pushed until they come true...

Lightening, wanted to focus on you. Your dreams had to come true.
She said that to you.
To focus on you.
That was something the Thunder couldn't do.
In fact, they both couldn't do.

She run and hid expecting you to think of you but knowing she'd always have hope...

And hope is something that remains at the soul of these two...

She counted....
1  to 2 and that's when she saw a glimpse of you!

She'll always remain there for you hidden in the light until it's time to wait for the Thunder.

Thunder and Lightening...

~ The Sound ~

Dear The Sound,

They stay silent as the silence says it all.

The silence has become their sound!

It's become them. Do they know?

Where's the sound, that constantly surrounds them?

He runs to her. She's already running.

They know the sounds.

I can't believe they once forgot!

You were once the light. The light become dull. When, once it had the spark.

She searched day and night in hope to stand next to you again.

He told her his sound would never leave her side.

The sound fell silent.

The sound lied.

Yet she waited for the sound to return.

She was on an endless journey, waiting for The Sound's return.

Had he lied to her?

When would the journey end?

All alone, left out in the dark.

She stood silently waiting.

He lied to you!

He knew the sound of her heart, he stared approvingly knowing he'd collected yet another broken heart.

But why was he running?

A long time ago, he once ran to you...

Why did he begin to break hearts?

He can no longer tell the difference!

She begged him to find the sound, to listen and to come back to her.

The difference to her was she could see and hear The Sound, yet she believed in him and still she waits for The Sound to return.

There you'll find them chasing The Sound....

Wolves....

Dear Wolves,

It's taken me a while to reach you.

Don't make me choose!

I've been strolling down, the darkest alleys with the hope of finding you.

Circulating round and round, running to you!

The questions spinning over and over... Is it you?

Falling down the darkest pathways for what seemed to be for you...

Your fingertips at reaching point of which now seems like a blur.

Was it a distant memory or has it become a fear?

I see the shadows chase me near, I skip the fear and pretend I'm not near!

Why do I chase you? You were never there for me.

The tears stream day by day. How did you accept one to love and one to loose?

Drunk on my feelings, I turned to strangers and isolated faces who endlessly stare!

Did I ever cross your mind? Did you question if I had ever thought of you? Too many times!

You put the blame on others. It was you!

You seem so pure, I viewed a reflection. What's drawing me in?

The wolves follow the dark side of the  moon, it seems like a jungle. I was so young and alone but I still tried to get to you.

Nothing can ever change the hurricane which flew overhead, the same questions over and out!

You expect me to forget, why? To pretend you were there!! With endless amounts of despair! You never were, it's a lie!

Yet I still put my trust in strangers to get to you. Time and time again since you left I promised myself I'd never trust in you or run back to you again!

You created so much pain and anger, yet I still feel my place belongs with you. I see so much light when I'm with you but with the flicker of a second the light fades to darkness.

Did you ever know my story? Did you ask? Did you guess? I guess you chose to read between the lines...

With the starts far behind, but the darkness drawing near. The tears fall quickly, I imagine the life I expected with you there and the sharp hit of reality crashes against the sea wall once again.

The silent whispers circle round the empty streets. Why did you let go?  Why did you hurt them? The blame circulates once again. I'm drowning in the pain, in the darkest of days I still did it all for you.

We were like two moths, that were drawn to the fire. In hope to get to you!

You questioned why I fall for the strangers who I once thought I knew. Did it occur to you, I was going trying to replace the love I had lost because of you?

I took the anger and the bitterness to try and be at ease with you.

You picture the life that's been framed with simply nothing but lies leaving your side. How can I hide?

Yes, I'd do it all for you!

I would gladly run through the darkness in the hope of seeing you.

Allowing you to hate me to protect you from the truth.

I'll run to the wolves to face the darkness to hope for a shimmer of light.

The empty bottles surround the darkness, the rapid change in character. Was it me or was it you?

I clung to taking too much to restrain from seeing you.

The long list of words, the in-depth hatred from you allowed a brighter horizon for you.

I'm not you, nor ever will be. I'm stronger, I'll fight for you.

Why should I? To get to you...

I try to ease the anger, I had hoped you could see through the brick walls that my heavy blue eyes and long locks remain drowning in. I had expected you to see.

Running to the jungle had become a way for me to fade away without my Jimmy Choo's!

Did you not question the silence? Or did the silence question you?

I still remain endlessly running to get to you following the darkest alleys to search for the shadow of you. While, you sneak back into the life you've always had.

I often prayed the time we had spent together painted a picture of the things I'd do to have the love from you.

Swirling over and over in the lies, what's fear or is it the scent of the New Year?

Will the Wolves ever leave me be, instead you made me choose?

Here comes another stranger.

Drunk on my feelings, facing the darkest journeys.

Wolves.

Beginning My Journey...

It seems it's been a fun packed day full of blogs!!

I can't believe how busy I have been recently, it's literally been so hectic in the life of Anya...

I have got to say today has been one of those days where I have enjoyed staying in and shutting door on the world as I have been so manic with admin and publishing blogs that are so overdue!....

I'm so lucky to have every single one of you who reads and follows my work. Without a doubt, I thank you all of you because if it wasn't for all of you then I wouldn't be able to attend the events I have and to share every opportunity with you all!

It's always important to reflect on how grateful you're!

When I was a little girl, I remember telling my Mumma that I wanted to work in a beauty and fashion industry but I loved to write.. My mum used to always tell me to believe that I could achieve anything I set my heart too and hear I am now working in an environment which achieves all three of those things!

It's so true when they say your mum becomes your biggest fan!

So thank you for always believeing in me. Especially, when I didn't even believe in myself!

At the age of nineteen years old, I truly had the world in my hands.

Though there was a split part of me for a moment that thought my world was crashing down. Due to a failed relationship, the anxieties of feeling like I hadn't achieved anything and not knowing parts of my life....

In fact, my world was expanding and day by day it kept on growing.

I moved to Winchester, where I found myself so settled as my focus had turned to my career again rather than how my ex was feeling etc... I learned to put myself first.

I also established a relationship with my father alongside my step-mum and brothers.!

That's something I never thought I was going to achieve as I was too scared to take the risk!

I now reflect on knowing it's the best decision I have ever made following moving to Winchester and establishing myself rather than being a shadow that's hidden by somebody else's light!

I took control of my life!

I become me!

I begun my journey and for that I am so proud.

Chasing your dreams, may seem difficult but it's even harder to watch them pass you by!

Open the door to your journeys today and enjoy them!

With Love,

Reaching 40,000 views...

Good evening ladies and gents, how are we all? Hopefully we're all still enjoying the late Sunday vibes...

My Sunday has become amazing and ever so surprising!! I am quite aware that the blog title has probably already given away why I am surprised and feeling truly overwhelmed...

However, I will elaborate further.... Today, I have reached over 40,000 views on the blog!

I'm literally overwhelmed, I'm so lost for words!

I know when I read this blog post back later on tonight I will wish I have added more to it, rather than adding lots of waffle! Though, I promise you I am actually so lost for words... Where do I begin?

So I have decided, to take a little blast back to the past... A year and a half ago when I first started blogging! I never ever once believed it would reach this far!

Let's take a stroll back to my past... I remember the first blog being based around my eighteenth birthday party! I'm trying to remind myself, how I must have felt when writing that very long blog post... At no point did I ever believe I would still be here writing and it's now a year and a half on-wards... A lot has happened, I'm so proud to say I don't regret anything or sharing anything with you all... In fact, I thank you all for continuously reading and sharing the blogs!

I'm amazed with all of the support!

It's about time I sat down and thanked you all, instead of individually thanking friends and family members. I thank you all! I thank every reader who takes the time to read my blogs! My American and London audience, thank you! Other world wide audiences too, thank you! It's amazing!!

Life is all about leaning... Making a chance of something small, being able to grow as a person and making the best of every opportunity there is! I repeat and can't stress enough how important it is to take the chances, don't sit around... go for gold!

When I started the blog a year and a half ago, I remember sitting in my lounge believing I would get so little views and I actually believed it wouldn't come too much... I believed wrong. I didn't believe in myself, I didn't believe I could do this! The difference is, you can... We can! You can do it!

All it takes is to believe in yourself, to set standards and accomplish them!

Be daring, be brave but be you!!

I chose this photo wisely... So many thank you's go towards my beautiful best friend Lizzie Narey for capturing it!

If you see an adventure and a future ahead, set sail towards it... Don't wait behind, thinking there will be another chance! Go, go, go!

Before, closing this blog post... I have met so many beautiful people since starting the blog, alongside being honoured to work with some incredible people! I wouldn't have been able to do this without all of your support...

So thank you!

Here's to another 40,000 views to come hey? Ha-ha!

My August Monthly Favourites...

Welcome August! I hope you have given everyone a great August so far!

Again, I am truly sorry for the lateness of the bl0g... It's just been a pretty hectic few months recently!

I've got so much I want to share with you all! So sit back and wait to find out all my new little bits....

But anyway I will get straight onto sharing my new favourite pieces with you all....

If you have seen my Instagram feed recently then you will have seen this beautiful new sleeveless duster coat making a feature on my selfies... I absolutely adore it!! It's such a beautiful colour and it's just so perfect for a dressing up or casual outfit! What more does a girl really want?

Plus, the price of it made me even more excited as it was only £11 due to having 20% discount at work!!

Everywhere I turn my head I see bardot tops and I am absolutely loving them!! I can't express how much I am loving bardot tops right now!! So thank you Newlook for this one!! It's so amazing, I love the fact I can dress it up or dress it down!

How on earth could I turn down a black and white striped bardot top?

With there being many discounts on Missguided recently it was most definitely time for  me to do a little cheeky shop.... I found myself falling in love for this beauty!! It's just such a simple crop top but with the bardot detail again, it looks simply incredible!!

My dearest friend Sophie, came round to mine wearing this beauty and how could I simply resist buying it as well? I just couldn't say no! I had to make another cheeky purchase online at Matalan! It's perfect to pair with some ripped jeans or just a plain pair of black jeans!!

I think it's an ideal look for an evening meal or day time outfit!!

Now this buy has made me over the moon!! I took a quick trip into Newport this afternoon with Scott to find a few things which is when I discovered this handy planner in Poundland. I try my best to be as organised as I can be!

I think planners are perfect, as you most likely know bloggers tend to find them super handy! I normally tend to use my diary but when I found this it had to leave the store with me!

I love the pretty designs on the weekly planner. The pretty birds, almost an Instagram symbol and of course the sweet ribbons!

Last Sunday, my mum kindly met me from work and showed me a new gift she had bought me and again I was so excited!! I guess, I love the little things!

I always find that the little things mean the most though, do you know what I mean?

Without a doubt, I am always super excited when it comes to having a new diary! Especially when, my best fiend and my mum put a lot of thought into finding the right one for me ha-ha!!

They know I'm a sucker for pink, so that's a must have essential in my life! Oh my god, then Lizzie found the cute little 'Queen Bee' slogan on the front! It was definitely made for me ha-ha! I love it!!

I've been dead excited to share this on my blog with you all as it's my very first Yankee candle purchase!!... I've been very lucky to have my friends and family members buy them for me! But I guess, there was just absolutely no way I could turn down this beauty!

Again, I found this in Matalan which was such a great buy! It was only £9!! That's such a good price for a big Yankee candle!!

In case you were wondering, it's called: Bermuda beach!

I'm simply lost for words with this candle! It blew me away, with how beautiful the scent smelt!

It's the perfect summery scent, it's so dreamy! It makes me imagine being down at the beach on a lovely summer's holiday!! Mmmm take me back to Majorca now....

With missing my nail appointment last week, I one hundred percent needed to do something! Who can have plain nails during the summer? Certainly not me!!

Thank god, my dearest friend Lizzie saved the day when she painted and put some gems on my nails for me! Aren't they such a beautiful summer colour? Thank you Lizzie, you life saver! I love you millions!!

So wha-la that's my August monthly favourites done for you all!

I hoped you all enjoyed reading the blog!!

Have a lovely evening!!

Much Love As Always, Anya Marie xx
